Worth a Read

I think this was worth putting here, as it encapsulates my view:

"This gentlemen's response to a New York Times columnist's article about the Israel-Palestine problem, sums it all up.

" First, three Jewish people were killed. It's not clear who killed them. [Me butting into to add: and we are not told by mainstream news of the deaths of the Palestinians before this] Why does Israel get to decimate a whole country for this? It seems that Hamas is the one trying to defend Palestine from an unjustified and brutal attack. If someone from Canada came over and killed a few Americans, and then we decided to destroy all of Canada, then yes, Canada would have a right to respond.

Second, Israel was created by the British as a Jewish state in 1948. Arabs were the majority, and Jews a much smaller minority at this time. Britain had no right to do this. The successors of colonizers are still colonizers. They may as well have created a Jewish state in Ireland or India. And the Irish or Indians, if such had been their fate, would have every right today to try to win back their land and to drive their oppressors from it.

Since its creation, Israel has engaged in a systematic campaign of colonialist expansion and oppression of the Palestinians. They are literally walled off from the rest of the world, blockaded, and subjugated in a land where they are lorded over by a racist regime that grants them no rights - no representation, no vote, no economic freedom. This has been acknowledged by the United Nations for some time.
[me butting in to add: they have imprisoned children, killed 100's of Palestinians with illegal phosphorus bombs, destroyed hundreds of villages, shot worshippers during prayer, raided & bombed surrounding countries, targeted airports for example, deported thousands of Palestinians, and much more].
One can understand why the Palestinians fight for their freedom. One can see the parallels to apartheid in South Africa. There is little difference. It is an apartheid. Those you label as terrorists are the ones who have been terrorized. They have the right to fight for what has been taken from them. It is the state of Israel that terrorizes the Palestinians, has driven them from their homes, and keeps them in a cage. If the British took over part of America, and then designated it a Catholic state, and that state then drove everyone from their homes if they weren't Catholic and then put walls around the non-Catholics and economically isolated them, who would you side with?

Your characterization of the situation as one of fault on both sides ignores the fact that one side is the oppressed, Palestine, and the other side, Israel, is the oppressor. It ignores the history of wrongful takeover. Would you criticize a slave for striking its master? Did you call South Africans terrorists when they fought in the streets against the Afrikaners? If justice is to be done, there can be no peace between a slave and a slaver - there can only be liberation.

Consider that democracy is seldom seen as a solution, one with Arab representation and Jewish representation. The reason for this is that Israel does not want democracy - they want a religious state that gives no power to the Arabs who live there. This is completely contrary to western ideals. The media - you, and the politicians, in this country, should acknowledge the wrongful creation of the Jewish state, the continued oppression of the arab population, and the Palestinians’ fight for freedom."

Safe Brands to Purchase From (Pt. 1: Indie Brands)

For my own use, and anyone who wishes to take part. Part 2 here.

edit: Here is an even better list!

I have compiled this list based on what I currently know. Of course, my research isn't quite as infallible as my charm. If I am wrong about any of these--if they are, in fact, associated with Woefully Wiley Wankers--please to inform. Molto grazie.

Regarding this boycott, I considered purging my current W.W.W.-owned items, for a sec. But tis more sensible to use em up, and refrain from purchasing anything from them in future.
----
These are some quality/dependable independent cosmetic brands, along with some items that they are especially known for.
There is a veritable online treasury of reviews/swatches/information, so I have only random reviews linked, that you can peruse for each brand, as you won't be able to swatch them in a shop.
--
Generally a good resource for overview and pictures of products from most indie brands, is Phyrra.net.
---
Advantages of choosing these, over mainstream brands:
Many of these brands specialize in unique duochromes/colour shifting products, which are hard to find in mainstream brands. Usually their cosmetics are more pigmented and concentrated, it is better value for money as it takes ages to use up.
Another advantage is that customer service is more personable.
Many of these brands also work to keep their products vegan or cruelty-free, or free of known allergens/irritants/parabens. Some even send free products with each order.
And of course, you're not supporting a bloodthirsty regime and its lovely Zionist agenda :)
---
A list of mainstream (more easily procured in some cases) brands will follow iA.

As I write this, 4 Palestinian children just died. They were targeted and shot down by Israeli state-of-the-art missile technology. First one shell hit, missed, and they ran. The next one got them.

According to bystanders 'it looked like the shells were chasing them'. They were playing football on the beach when it happened. Ismael, Mohamed, Zakaria, and Ahed Baker. Ages 9-11. Bodies strewn on the beach. One of them looked just like Perfection Personified when asleep (on his stomach, a mop of curly hair), except that this kid's limbs were mangled, and the sand around him was covered in blood. CNN and FOX news may not report it, may call them 'human shields' like they have every other Palestinian fatality...these kids were playing on an otherwise empty beach.
I refuse to post pictures of slain people here, but it just solidifies my resolve to distance myself as much as I know/can from Zionist corporations. Video in case you don't mind crying your eyes out.

nb: the first response Zionist hides behind when it comes to boycotts, is the anti-semitism card. (as my previous posts will show, i am not anti-Jew). 2nd is denial and deflection and justification of I's war crimes. (they were killing Palestinians long before Hamas, fyi). Have you ever read about what rapists say to justify themselves? It is a very similar surreal experience.
3rd is to say it will make no difference. i say it WILL make a difference if enough people are informed of the Zionist/genocide connection, and informed of alternatives.

Ceasefire

This is what happened during the proposed cease-fire (what the Western media won't tell ya)
This is a building Israel destroyed.
During said ceasefire. Then they say 'Hamas rejected it.'
Well duh--you broke your word, as you have done a gajillion times before, you sh!t st!rring bastards.
But you know, Hamas wasn't informed of ceasefire either. They learned of it through the news.
Zionists have pulled this same sh!t for decades.

This is Shayma Al-Masri, wounded; 2 of her siblings and her mom both died from an Israeli airstrike.

Trusting Israel on a ceasefire (or any proposition of peace) is like trusting Paul Bernardo to escort your daughter to the car after midnight.

This blog post explains things nicely. Her critique of the magic news agencies weave through selective wording and omission of everything that doesn't serve em, effectively distorting reality, is also perfect.

Spit Truth to Power

I am so proud of this young Jewish man and no matter what happened to him (it is a horrific video, it had me in tears, so don't watch if you think you can't handle it), I wish him the best of everything. His follow-up video here, explaining further the context and his intentions.

Lion-heart, beautiful soul. He has more heroism, wisdom, and strength, in his pinky, than the men who tried to drown out it out, can ever understand. Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes.

I hope their blind hearts are awakened one day. They are only betraying themselves, oppressing their natural goodness within, by suppressing the truth and supporting a murderous regime.

I hope all of us are roused out of passivity and cowardice and open our hearts to truth, and speak it.

Just speak it. Be it Tibet, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Burma, Chechnya, whatever part of the world is currently in flames, really. Or animal abuse, child abuse, drug abuse, bullying, or your neighbour's got crazy debt and needs help, or...or... there's a baby buffalo that needs sticky tape to repair its hot air balloon (Dora epi)...whatever--pick a cause.
Pick a cause, learn about it, and try to do it justice with your hands, voice, and heart. Lend your voice to those who have none.

That's what I learnt from watching this video.

This is a true noble person, this is true goodness and true strength. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr said:

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all of humanity.

Thank you for reminding me, once more.

A building right next to al-Wafaa hospital in Palestine, is in flames as I type this. It got bombed.

Israel called up the hospital a few hours ago, and warned them all to evacuate as it is the target.

I have some images from inside this hospital, and like I mentioned before, the current injured-from-this-month's-attacks Palestinians rank in 1000+ range --actually, now they are 1,500+. Besides this, there are those who have died: 200 exactly.

So here is the hospital, a few pics, and these people are all expected to evacuate. The building next to them got attacked, and is on fire.

Very noble of Israeli military to ring em up and tell them all to evacuate: where to? Hm?

Volunteers are within, as 'shields,' because it might prevent Israel from bombing hospitals if non-Palestinians are killed (they won't be able to deny it). This is how they have been trying to keep them safe. (see video below)

"If you are convinced what you're doing is correct, your heart is at ease and you can continue in the struggle."
- Wei Jingsheng

Israel also has student unions in their 'war-room' spreading their propaganda all over social media. Link.

They are armed with lies, false numbers, logical fallacies, the victim card (as they sit in their AC'd room with refreshments.---> watch the accompanying video), copy-pasting generic criticism of Hamas, writing pointless arguments and comments to make those who like to skim without watching/reading/little knowledge get that little bit more brainwashed.

And like I mentioned many posts ago, they have employed their lovely faked images to make it seem like Palestinians are faking these images...when it is Israel who manufactures this faked propaganda and 'outs' it like they are amidst a big ole conspiracy.

Lastly, I want to mention that I am sick, along with Beautiful Dreamer (asleep at last), and I feel like the least bit I can contribute is posting, on behalf of this cause, hence the flurry of blog posts. Can't wait to attend a rally this weekend, then I'll feel a bit less frustrated and hopeless.

Funding Civilian Deaths All Day Erry Dayyy

"If you need more proof that the president is no friend of Israel, just do the math. Back in 2007, President Bush supported Israel with $2.3 billion in foreign military aid. This year, President Obama wants to bring that down to just $3.1 billion. I know it looks like it's going up, but remember: in Hebrew you read charts from right to left." -- Stephen Colbert
I don't understand when we got to the point where a population (men, women, children) with no army, gets bombarded by another side's highly advanced military technology, where kids get shot by soldiers on a regular basis, indiscriminately, and we call the soldiers the heroes. One side has uniforms, tanks, the power to harrass you, imprison you, shoot you at will.
The other side is in a prison camp that goes by the name of Gaza, just waiting for their lives to further disintegrate, for their homes to be destroyed, for their hospitals and places of worship to be targeted by missiles.

You're not a terrorist if you're beseiged in your own country by invaders, when you're fighting off those who have committed every atrocity possible, broken more UN peace resolutions than any other country in the world, ever--who have pledged to kill every last one of you publicly and countless times.

"In a BBC newsroom, an Israeli life is worth the lives of an infinite number of Palestinians," admits former BBC journalist (source)

We live in a world in which a child who is arrested, force-fed gasoline, and burned alive, remains unworthy of mainstream news coverage, unworthy of justice, because he is Palestinian.

Image below from Batesh family home airstrike (18 Palestinians killed).

Image: doctors operating on one of the victims from rehab centre in Palestine for the disabled (airstrike from 4 days ago)--
by the way Israel has announced today that those in this hospital should evacuate as it is the next target. It's nice when they occasionally issue a warning that isn't given via a 'drone tap' (missile hits your roof) as is their usual method.

Jews lived in Palestine before any of this Zionist cr@P.
Arab Jews were driven off by Zionists too. Any Jew who refused to be part of Israel was treated as any Muslim or Christian Palestinian: fair game. And-bang- goes the gun.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT ANTI-SEMITISM AND NEVER WAS.

A country whose founders and leaders had declared war on you, for no reason except that they wanted to replace you (see Ben Gurion quote several posts ago), who arrived on your land with tanks, and initiated said war on you.

I read a good quote today: "What really counts are good endings, not flawed beginnings."

Peace and justice and forgiveness, may still be possible for humanity if we resolutely hope for it, and call for it and adhere to it. Everyone who mourned Nelson Mandela but stands up for Israel is a brazen hypocrite.

Proud of Indians

Indian-Israeli relations have always been strong. Under their new PM, they are BFF's.

The way Israel has carried out atrocities on Palestine (genocide, torture, oppression), India has done the same for Kashmir.

The cause for Kashmiri freedom is exactly the same as Palestine's, just gets less lip service.

I was proud to see these photos, published by Arab News, of Indians courageously carrying out a protest in support Palestine.

Though the police tried to stamp it out viciously, they stood their ground as they were best able. In defense of the police, you must nip these sorts of sentiments in the bud, dontcha know? Or else they could start talking about Kashmir too.

And as Mr. Modi has further expanded ties with Israel, this wouldn't be good for him.
